For everyone doing webdesign or webbuilding this one is a must read!! Print it out and give it to your design company or even better your clients before they are going to ask things from you that the website should have.

Still the larger part of the article seems like the way to go, not subject to recent developments or whatsoever.

Funny article anyway!

The article is not about user interface and stuff like that.. it's about websites that make money and what you should NOT do if you want that.

Everyone knows that if you want Google to find you, you don't use Flash or Ajax. Except when these techniques enhance the experience for the user. I think each and every point is correct if you want your site to work, even in these times. I never felt the need to use a RIA or whatever when I was working on websites.. webapps are a whole different story :-)

I'm not sure I agree with all of it, and it seems to have been written by a student not a professional. But the worst thing is that whole article has just been copied from someone else's blog with no credit, that's bad. Surely rule #20 should be 'Don't rip your content from another website and not even credit the original author!'

@Adam - I agree, also looks like someone with a huge chip on his shoulder.

Even if you have criticism to say, there are much better ways than that to get your message across.

I think it's funny that the article is written completely with a developer/designer bias. Sure, it pisses him off when someone resizes his window or uses a launch page . . . but I wonder what the average user would say . . .

I personally don't build products for designers and developers, I build them for people.

Personally I do not think they are that bad. Find the files you are looking for at search-ebook.com the most comprehensive source for free-to-try files downloads on the Web
