Help with EPP protocol and coldfusion

Could anyone point me in the right direction with the EPP (domain registration) protocol? I am at a lost.. i can get the socket to work.. that's actually pretty simple, but communicating with the EPP server is a total mystery for me. I need to send XML back and forth through the socket but i have no clue how this is done.

Any pointers in the right direction are much appreciated!! Better yet.. a complete working example ;-)

What's the problem exactly? Sending the XML over the connection? Or do you not know *what* to send ?If it is the latter, check the RFC, (wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Provisioning_Protocol)

It's sending and receiving the xml trought the socket. What to send is a whole different ballgame :-)

Any luck with socket connections? I need to do some socket stuff too and was wondering if you had any luck. I heard there was a socket.cfc in the good old Macromedia DRK5 (which I lost of course!)

@michael nope.. still under development, I can't seem to get it working.. mostly because I have no clue how to implement the JAVA documentation :-(

I got something working right now, but that's with the socket gateway... You might want to look into the code of the socket gateway Java class to get an idea how to enhance it for more functionality with xml and stuff...

Good luck!

Hi,

Did you ever get it to work?

I need to change over to EPP to interface with a domain registry. Any help on how to go about it would be great. Will to subcontract.
